Feel Good Gold is a programme of weekly sessions for older people aged 60 and over held at Cherry Lodge – our community venue in the heart of King Edward Park.
The sessions provide older people with a warm space, hot food, fun activities like quizzes and bingo, community-based access to additional support services from a whole range of local and national providers (including included National Energy Action and Dementia Friends) and transport to and from sessions if needed – all for a contribution of £2 per person.
We launched Feel Good Gold to support older people in our local communities across Sneinton and St Ann’s and address social isolation and loneliness, including those with long term health conditions such as frailty and dementia.
Older people (aged 60 and over) can self-refer to Feel Good Gold or be referred by another organisation. If you would like to refer yourself or someone, or find out more about Feel Good Gold contact us.
“Feel Good Gold has made a huge difference to the many people I have referred. Most would not have been able to access the community independently and would still be sat at home lonely and isolated. Attending the sessions has taken their minds off their issues and given them time to chat and have fun with others, while being fed and entertained.
The Renewal Trust team are very welcoming, friendly and supportive and it’s their great enthusiasm, care and support that have made people feel happy and looking forward to their next Feel Good Gold session."
