If you’re looking for a job, training, or a change of career then you’ll be interested to know we’re offering a unique package of free support that could help – thanks to a week-long initiative in partnership with Metropolitan Housing Association, City College Nottingham and Nottingham City Council.
The initiative is designed to help you with every aspect of finding work, training or a new career, from finding the opportunities that are right for you, to support with money, health and travel. It will run from 22-26 October including free workshops throughout the week and a free Jobs Fair on Wednesday 24 October from 4pm-7pm at St Ann’s Valley Centre, 2 Livingstone Road, Nottingham, NG3 3GG. Anyone looking for a job, a change of career, or training is welcome to come along.
What’s on offer?
There’ll be free workshops throughout the week including CV Writing, Interview Skills, Keeping a Universal Credit Journal, The Money Trail, Application Form Filling, Budgeting and Saving Money, Work and Health and Journey Planning.
The workshops have been planned around the Jobs Fair, to help you make the most of the opportunity. The workshops before the Jobs Fair will include advice on things like CV Writing and Interview Skills, so you’ll be ready to meet potential employers, apply for live jobs and vacancies and explore your employment options. The workshops after the Jobs Fair will help you prepare for getting back into work including Application Form Filling and Journey Planning.
A range of local organisations are supporting the initiative and helping to run workshops including Futures Advice, Skills and Employment, St Ann’s Advice Centre and Sustrans.
The initiative is part of the St Ann’s Week of Action 2018 which is themed around employment.
