Area Based Grant (ABG) is funding allocated from Nottingham City Council to Area Lead Organisations for the eight areas of the city. The funding started in 2013 and is currently allocated each year.
We have been the lead organisation for the Area Based Grant (ABG) for Area 6 (Mapperley, St Ann’s and Dales) since April 2016 and the lead for Area 7 (Clifton East and Clifton West) since March 2023. Funding is currently delivered across three areas - Play and Youth (term time only) Employment and Skills and Small Group Support.
As the area lead organisation we provide support to young people, community associations, the voluntary and community sector, as well as employment and skills training. We want to make sure the communities of Mapperley, St Ann’s and Dales and Clifton East and Clifton West) get the support they need and deserve.
We also host a number of networks supporting ABG partners these are the Children and Young Peoples Network, Health and Wellbeing Network, Hardship Network, Clifton Partnership and More in Common Nottingham.
