To celebrate Trustees’ Week from 13-17 November, we’re looking for new Trustees to join our dynamic Board of Directors, especially those with skills and experience in Partnerships, Influence and Communications or Finance and Fundraising.
Cherry Underwood, our CEO explains:
“We’re especially keen to hear from people living or working in the St Ann’s, Sneinton or Mapperley areas of Nottingham, to make sure our Board truly reflects the diversity of the communities we work with.
“The more skills and experience we have on our Board the stronger and more robust and effective we can be, so we’re looking for people of all ages and from all walks of life – there’s no ‘one size fits all’ description of a Trustee.
“For example, you could be a young person keen to share your ideas and learn about leadership; or a professional looking to use your skills to help others, whether you work in the private, public or voluntary sectors; or someone with time to share, around commitments like caring or bringing up a family, who wants to get involved in your local community.
“Being a Trustee is an exciting volunteering opportunity at any stage of life and a great way to use your personal and professional skills and experience to make a lasting difference to people and places you care about, while working alongside a team of interesting people.”
“Today’s charities are looking for an increasing array of skills, from legal and financial to creative and technological, so it’s a great time to become a Trustee. By becoming a Renewal Trust board member you’ll be helping to lead a progressive, nationally-recognised charity, while supporting people and places right here in Nottingham.”
As a Trustee, you’ll help to shape our vision, aims and strategy, make sure we meet our financial and legal obligations and support our CEO, staff and volunteers.
