St Ann’s Allotments on BBC Gardeners’ World

St Ann’s Allotments appeared on BBC Gardeners’ World on Saturday 10 April – with the programme featuring allotment gardener Katrina Harrison.

If you missed it the programme is available to watch on BBC iPlayer

Katrina told us:
“I got my allotment soon after graduating university, when I moved into a city flat. I wanted to have a green space of my own but didn’t know how to garden at the time! I soon discovered a love for gardening that lead me onto a new horticulture career path and grew a social media following of 74K on Instagram and 49K on YouTube (@homegrown.garden).

“I use these social media platforms to share my allotment space with others and inspiring them to grow their own and share lots of tips and advice.

The (Gardeners’ World) feature shared some of the magic and history of St Ann’s Allotments, and why it is such a special part of Nottingham. Almost like the secret garden, my allotment has become my garden, not just a place to relax and grow food, but a private space to connect with the wildlife and get creative too.”
