FREE Creative Writing Session
Nottingham writer, storyteller and performance poet, Panya Banjoko, will be hosting a FREE Creative Writing session at St Ann’s Valley Library on 28 February.
You don’t need any previous writing experience, simply drop by the library anytime between 11am-3pm to join in with fun writing activities, explore how memories can be captured creatively and have a go at writing your own St Ann’s Story with top tips from Panya!
The session is part of our #StAnnsStories project with Panya and Bo Olawoye – a new, free, one-off printed newspaper for St Ann’s – created by and for local people to share the true spirit of one of Nottingham’s most iconic neighbourhoods.
As well as sharing your stories and memories for the newspaper, you’re also welcome to bring along anything else you’d like to include such as photographs, articles, creative writing, poems, artwork and more!
The one-off newspaper will be available free in March 2020, at a range of venues throughout St Ann’s, including St Ann’s Valley Library.
Can’t make it to the library but still want to share your story?
Please email stories and/or print quality images about your life in St Ann’s to email@example.com by Friday 28February, 5pm
We’ve teamed up with the National Ice Centre, Nottingham City Council and Experian to make sure families don’t miss out on important free family learning sessions
Windrush Day 2020 seems a fitting moment to share this powerful instalment from St Ann’s Stories – a very special newspaper created by and for the people of St Ann’s.
